Terms

Version 1.1, 16 October 2026. Operator: see the Impressum.

1. What Bitlands is

Bitlands is a directory of products shown as a 3D city and as a public catalog for software agents. These terms cover listing a project, paid plans, building up and weekly auctions. Paid offers are for entrepreneurs (§ 14 BGB) promoting their own projects only: before every purchase you confirm that you are buying for your business, so the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply. Should it apply after all, you ask us to start right away and know that the right ends once the service has been provided in full (§ 356 (5) BGB).

2. Listings

  • You may list only projects you built or have the right to list.
  • A building appears once its first payment clears. We may decline, hide or remove listings that are unlawful, misleading, spam, or that impersonate someone else.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive licence to show what you submit (name, description, logo, links) in the city, on storefront pages and through the catalog API, for as long as the listing exists.

3. Plans

Plans buy land and looks: Shop €19 or $19/mo and Landmark€79 or $79/mo. An island (Bitland) is won at auction (section 5) and then kept on a monthly plan of 249 to499 euros by island size. Plans renew monthly and can be cancelled any time in billing; they stay active until the end of the paid period.

When a plan ends, the building keeps its plot where possible and falls back to the free look. When an island plan ends, the island returns to the city and its buildings move to open plots.

4. Building up

  • A building grows in two ways: with the verified activity signal you connect, and by building up, a one-time payment of at least 10 euros (whole euros, at least 1 euro for every later raise).
  • What a listing has built up in total is its rank in the city, shown publicly. Equal amounts keep the older position. Raising your own building charges only the amount you add.
  • Building up is final once paid. If we hide a listing for breaking these terms, what it built up is not refunded; if we remove a listing without cause, we refund it in full.

5. Weekly auctions

  • Bids are for the following week's placement and close Sunday 20:00 UTC.
  • Unclaimed islands are auctioned the same way. The winning bid is charged once, and the winner's island plan starts on the same card at the size chosen with the bid. If that plan cannot start, the island returns to auction and the winning bid is refunded.
  • Placing a bid saves a card with Stripe. Only the highest bid is charged, once, after the close. If that charge fails, the next-highest bid wins. Other bidders are not charged.
  • A won placement is shown for the week and labelled sponsored, to humans and to agents.

6. Activity signals

Signals you connect are read once a day with the key you provide, for one number only. You confirm you may give us that access. You can disconnect at any time.

7. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damage. We do not guarantee traffic, sales or uninterrupted availability.

8. Law and contact

German law applies. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Dresden. Questions:support@bitlands.lol.
