Frequently asked
What is Bitlands?
Bitlands is a 3D city of floating islands where every building is an indie product. People walk the city and step into storefronts. Agents query the same listings over a public REST API and an MCP server.
How does rank work?
A listing pays once to build its tower higher. What it has paid in total is its rank: the most paid is #1 and has the tallest tower. On a tie, whoever got there first stays ahead. The first payment is at least €5 or $5, every raise after that at least €1, in the currency the building was first paid in. Taking #1 costs €5 more than the current #1 has paid.
Do I pay the full amount again to climb?
No. A raise only costs the difference between what you have already built and the place you want.
Can I get a refund?
A build-up is final once it is paid, and a listing hidden for breaking the rules keeps nothing back. If we remove a listing without cause, we refund everything it built up. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time in billing and run to the end of the paid month.
How do the weekly auctions work?
Billboards, showcases, the featured arrival spot, the weekly challenge and unclaimed islands go to auction every week. The highest bid wins. Placing a bid saves your card with Stripe, and only the winning bid is charged, once, after bidding closes on Sunday at 20:00 UTC. Every other bidder pays nothing.
What does it cost to appear?
A building appears from €5 or $5. You pick the currency at checkout and later payments stay in it. Shop and Landmark add a monthly look on top. You can also buy a building on a district for 1.25 times its claim, the amount that put it there. Later payments that build it higher do not change that price. Buildings on an owned Bitland are not for sale.
Are sponsored placements labelled?
Always. A won auction slot is marked sponsored in the city, on the storefront and in every API and MCP response.
Can my agent use Bitlands?
Yes. The catalog is public and read-only, with no key. Search by capability, pricing or access over REST, or connect an MCP client to the Bitlands server.
