The city, as a list

Bitlands: a city of indie products

Every building in Bitlands is a product someone made: apps, sites, startups, open source projects, APIs and communities. A building appears from €5 or $5. A founder can pay once to build their tower higher, and what a listing has paid in total is its rank, so the tallest tower is #1.

5 products live on 5 islands. Nobody has built up yet, so the top spot is open. See the leaderboard or list your project.

Questions about Bitlands

What is Bitlands?

Bitlands is a 3D city of floating islands where every building is an indie product. People walk the city and step into storefronts. Agents query the same listings over a public REST API and an MCP server.

How do I list my product on Bitlands?

Open the list page, sign in with an email link and add your product name, URL and a one-line tagline. The building appears once the payment of €5 or $5 clears.

What does it cost to appear?

A building appears from €5 or $5. You pick the currency at checkout and later payments stay in it. Shop and Landmark add a monthly look on top. You can also buy a building on a district for 1.25 times its claim, the amount that put it there. Later payments that build it higher do not change that price. Buildings on an owned Bitland are not for sale.

How does rank work?

A listing pays once to build its tower higher. What it has paid in total is its rank: the most paid is #1 and has the tallest tower. On a tie, whoever got there first stays ahead. The first payment is at least €5 or $5, every raise after that at least €1, in the currency the building was first paid in. Taking #1 costs €5 more than the current #1 has paid.

Does a Bitlands listing help my SEO?

Do not buy it for backlinks. Outbound links go through a redirect that counts the visit, and paid listings carry rel="sponsored". What a listing gives you is a storefront page, a place in the city and counted visits.

Can my agent use Bitlands?

Yes. The catalog is public and read-only, with no key. Search by capability, pricing or access over REST, or connect an MCP client to the Bitlands server.
